Buy a 'new' seat...
You can't go wrong at the sale price of $299 however, I highly recommend you immediately purchase a 'new' seat. This is my only caveat with the CCM Apex. Purchased at the Kenora C.T. store, my assembly was flawless. Great job guys!

Amazing Deal
I got it for a price of (299.00 Canadian)
-I was worried about the front suspension, because at first it looked a bit weak, but after going for a kilometer or so it started to work to its potential greatness.
-The comfort on this bike is awesome and its convertible rear suspension is great for when wanting to go down hill
-The style and appeal on this bike is great when I show it off to people they couldn't believe it was only $299
-Switching the gears on this bike is a breeze, except a little bit of a jump when it comes to the 7th and 8th gear
-I'm having a little problem with the seat because it keeps moving and I can't find a way for it to stay still, otherwise it is comfortable enough for my age and liking
- This bike is a great buy for exercise getting around and just having fun on a few slopes

Nice Bike!!!
Very nice bike, works very well.
My only negative point is the Shimano EZ-Fire shifters: I've spent a lot of time adjusting them so the shifting is smooth and accurate. The front derailleur shifter lever has too much travel and is awkward to operate; this shifter should be a ratcheting system. The rear works very nicely.
The full suspension is a beauty!!
Highly recommended.

CCM a noble Canadian Marque
I was at the store to buy my little niece a bike helmet and glanced over to the bikes and saw the wonderful rough welds on the frame, not ground down but just painted over. Canadian aesthetic at its best! To boot, it was a CCM, a Marque of noble Canadian pedigree.. The frame says it all: the welds are a testament to its hand-crafting. I bought two right away, one for riding, one for my museum of Canadiana industrial design.

My review
I probably would recommend this to someone for light trails if your looking to go heavy, Buy a new suspension
Pros:
Looks nice
Feels strong
Pretty durable
Light weight
Disc breaks
Cons:
- Seat is very uncomfy I bought a new one for it.
- The chain snapped on the first day, Got a new one
- Makes squeaky noises in the front by the disc breaks
- Chain guard was lose when I got it and was missing a bolt.
- No cup holder
Just the sad part is I had to spend an extra $50 for it to meet my comfort and repairs.

Aweome bike!!!!!
i bought this bike a week ago and I've had no problems at all. I have had no noise problems unlike the other reviewers and have had a great overall experiance. I got this bike for the sale price of $299.99 and it was a clear choice out of the other bikes.
I bike around on streets and roads with my friends but we often go on light jumps and trails. This bike is very light but strong and is excellent in all conditions. The brakes are great but you might need to tighten them if they are loose but you can probably get that done at the store or even from looking it up on the internet. The tires are nice and big so it is a dream going over each and every bump. The suspension is excellent and extremely soft. The only one downside is the colour. Since it is a white bike, it can easily get dirty if rode on mud. You can easily get around this by a weekly cleaning or so of the bike.
Overall I am enjoying this bike very much and would reccomand it to everyone. It had a great price and you should definatly buy it!!! =D

Good but has minor design issue
Well I guess I'll start with the bad stuff. First off the rear brake assembly was not designed properly. Only half the surface area of the rear brake pads were being used. This isn't really a safety issue more or less an annoyance. Since the brakes on this bike are "non standard" regular caliper brakes will not work since the spacing on the caliper is too small. However if you're handy with a dremel and a set of files you can modify the existing bracket allowing full use of the rear brake pads.
The second thing which I can assure anyone buying a bike at a big box store will happen is the lack of care put into assembly/tuning however people buying a bike should know how to do these adjustments and check for loose parts and if a buyer doesn't know they should learn which will save money later on down the road. Most canadian tires will have a small assortment of tools that you can borrow to get the bike into at least a ridable condition to get it home to do further adjustments.
Finally, and this should be more of a helpful tip than a con. The suspension on this bike is pretty soft especially on the front. So I wouldn't recommend this bike for anything more than light trail riding. Obviously jumps and drop offs would wreck the suspension on this thing.
Other than the above mentioned problems this is a great bike especially when it goes on for 50% off. The drive train is very nice once adjusted. Comes with very aggressive tires which are great for loose dirt or sand. All black rims makes it look slick along with the 2 tone color scheme. So far it's still going strong after 300 bumpy pot hole filled kms.
