Ok for the sale price at half off
I bought this bike when it was half price and do not believe it is worth anymore than that. It has been pretty good to me so far, but not the best quality.

needs some work
the first day i got this bike the kick stand broke, and the rim is bend, the handle bars arent straight, and the derailers arnt positioned properly, the front brakes rub, the the front suspension is to soft and not smooth at all, the back suspension is way to hard and the frame is pretty heavy most of the stuff can be fixed easily but the suspension and the frame u cant fix u can only replace them once the little things are fixed it is a ok bike i only payed 250 for it so i can still up grade. it is only a department store bike so dont expect to much from it, if u want a good bike that will last spend the money and get something worth it.

Worst bike ever
I just got this bike under a year ago. It was a really good bike at the beginning. After about 3 weeks the rear cassette broke. I took it in and it was fixed under warranty without a problem. It was good for about another 3 weeks and the exact same thing happened. I took it in to my local bike shop here it cost me about $80 to fix the problem, (parts and labor). It was good for a while till just now. 5 day ago I rode my bike and there was nothing wrong with it. Today I when to ride it and the entire front forks where rusted and the shocks are seized. This bike is stored indoor and was cleaned last time it was rode. This should never happen to a bike. Please save your own money and don't buy this bike

Blue Mountain PASS
bought the bike 2 days ago and so far it works great. rear suspension is a bit stiff and the front is loose. the day i bought it i took it down blue mountain and it preformed very well over jumps, bumps, rocks, streams etc. the brakes worked very well considering i went down a black diamond ski run. overall it is a very good bike considering its from Canadian tire. looks great too.

WATCH THE WHEELS
WHEN MY DAD AND I WERE BUYING THE BIKE OUR MAIN CONCERN WAS THAT THE BIKE'S TIRES WERE COMPLETELY SCREWED UP. THE BIKE IS REALLY NICE BUT NEEDS TUNING. IT DOES COME ONLY IN SILVER FOR THOSE WHO ARE WONDERING AND THE BIKE ITSELF IS GOOD QUALITY. THE FRONT COMPRESSION SHOCKS ARE VERY LOOSE SO IF YOU ARE HEAVY I WOULDN'T SUGGEST THIS BIKE.

First Impressions of CCM Scope
Just rode this home from CT, about 3.5 km with some small hills. Ran over a few curbs and went off-road a bit for fun.
Gears were well adjusted by the CT staff who assembled the bike. Disk brakes seemed crisp and efficient, though cables a bit loose (brake handles almost to the bar with adjusters full out! Don't they know the cables are going to stretch?)
Will need to spend an hour going over the assembly, checking that everything is tight and adjusting for my body size and preferences, but I expect that with any new bike.
I don't expect this low-end bike to match my younger son's $700 hybrid or my middle kid's $1800 MTB. But I'm not going to be riding as hard as either of the boys, so I expect this bike will stand up to the few hills and trails I'll have it on and I expect it to be fair value for the sale price. Will let you know at the end of the summer.
The front shocks seem very soft and loose - when I popped up to jump a curb, the front wheel dropped with a clank when my weight came off it. Still made the curb okay, but the clank startled me, don't think the boys' bikes do do that but I will have to ask them.
My biggest beef is that the little manual that came with the bike. I was looking for front shock adjustments (probably aren't any). The manual was for a totally different brand, let alone model and has very little that is relevant to this particular bike. It is written in broken English, clearly printed in Japan or Korea or Bangladesh or someplace, So much for the "Canadian" in "Canadian Cycle and Motor" (CCM).
