Great rifle, scores low on price...
Look for this rifle at Canadian Tire ONLY when it's on sale. Even at 50% off, you can price match it online. Of course, there are then shipping fees, and at Canadian Tire - you can have it right away!
Other than the excessive price tag, this is a great air rifle...it's actually a Ruger! The stock looks just like my 10/22 powder burner, only larger.
Extremely accurate, like most springers, although a bit on the heavy side for younger shooters. It's actually heavier than a Ruger 22LR!
I bought mine at Canadian Tire, ON SALE, and have had no problems with it whatsoever.
I have added a barrel-mounted bipod (around $30 online# and it turns this rifle into a nice little sniper!
Have fun, shoot safely...and, personally, I avoid shooting little critters. This rifle will dispatch a squirrel from 20 yards no problem, if you really must. But I prefer a live trap, paint their tail orange #to see if they come back!#, and then release it. You must go at LEAST 10 miles away! Eventually, the marker paint wears off.
But Visi-colour targets are much more rewarding, as you can see exactly where you hit, and can calibrate your scope.
Also, the Ruger scope is surprisingly good as well. It's 3/8" dovetail mount, like many 22 rifles, and so you could use it with of those as well, which I have done.
Then I put a laser sight on it, also barrel mount, just for fun #from another firearm)...the built-in sights are great as well, and help you calibrate the laser for those "never miss" moments if you ARE going after a small pest!
CT doesn't sell barrel-mounted accessories, but they should

Best air gun I have ever had
I purchased my Ruger Black Hawk Air rifle about a week ago. Since then I have shot off about half of the 500 pack of pellets that i got with it. My brother and I find it a very accurate and powerful air gun and we have had a few hours now of target shoot and love the fun times. I had a .177 air riffle years ago and liked it but it was no comparison to this one. It took a few rounds to get the scope set up but after we did we could get our shots in about a one inch cluster. Haven’t used it on any live game yet but I really only got the gun for fun target shoots. I am now looking at maybe getting a hand gun for further target fun. I would totally recommend this gun to any one that asked me about purchasing an air rifle.

great pellet rifle
picked this up for my nephew, he loves it. a little heavier than some, but just told him to do some push ups... easy to sight in,very happy with the overall quality of the rifle.

Excellent
This is my first air rifle in 20 Years. All I can say is excellent. With no scope from the standing position I am getting a 1" grouping at 75 ft.

Awesome Gun
This is a fabulous air gun. Very accurate, once the scope is zeroed in. The weight (8lbs) makes free hand shooting a challenge. The length (46'') makes the gun very large, but gives it amazing effective range. It's durable and very sleek. I especially like the automatic safety feature. Overall this is a great gun for target shooting and with the right pellets, small game hunting.

Decent Gun
This is a decent gun for the price. Great for beginners or for somebody who likes to shoot stuff. The scope is great once you zero it in. I shoot cans at 100 feet easily, as for hunting little animals like birds, i don't really know if it would kill them because I've never shot one before but i think with the right pellet you should be able to kill a small animal at 100 feet.
