"We bought this bike for $140 (1/2 price) and for that price it actually exceeds my expectations. We've put on well over 1000 km so far with no issues. It is whisper quiet. Assembly was fairly easy. It's easy to move around once assembled. Tension adjustment works well. Has all the basic readouts on the panel. The seat is not the most comfortable for long time periods, but it's OK. For this price they obviously have to use a cheaper foam product. But my butt gets sore on the expensive high-end gym bikes too, so I just suck it up. It is a single-tube frame construction, so you feel the bike flexing a bit during use, but it doesn't affect the workout. Is this bike the same quality as one you'd find in the gym? No. If you are a serious hardcore biker you may want to upgrade to a higher end bike, but for an average/moderate user this bike does a good job and for $140 I would recommend it."

A great bike

"I've put 1200 + kms on this bike in the last year and it's still working like the day it came out of the box. I had a problem with the monitor fading out, and called CS, and he sent me a new monitor. There was no beating around the bush, the monitor wasn't working, the bike was still under warranty and the new one arrived in 8 days. I do use my own memory foam seat cushion."

"Have just purchased this bike. Found the customer service to be totally different from a previous writer. I came to the last step in assembly and found that the seatback had a couple of slashes in he vinyl. Called their CS line and Eugene immediately made arrangements to send me another seatback. Will write more after it has been used for a while."

Very poor quality

"I would not recommend this bike to anyone. I bought it less than 6 months ago and the belt got cut itself almost all the length and then it also snapped off the weels. I managed to open the cover of the mechanism and saw it was really poorly designed (no wonder the belt was cut and snapped). It was almost impossible to remove the cover and reach the belt to put it back and then the cover wouldn't fit back correctly. The belt then would still give problems and the machine would make noise (it was indeed before very silent). For the half price I bought on sale I still think I made a bad decision to buy it."

Great bike

"Works great, but putting it together was a pain. Note that all the screws are in the parts and don't go hunting for a bags with all the parts. There is a bag, but it only holds 2 bolts and the wrenches to put it together. Also, The seat is not very comfortable."

warranty not good

"I bought this bike three months ago, the straps on the pedals are loose and come off easily, called the warranty three times, faxed my receipt with problem three times, but just waste of time, no one responded, otherwise bike is okay but really upset with tempofitness warranty, i have a treadmill from horizon fitness, they have amazing warranty coverage, would never buy anything with tempofitness again."

Good bike if you're already small

"This bike is a great little piece of exercise equipment but it is not designed for a hard workout or heavier people.

With the front and back connected only by a circular steel pipe on the bottom, it feels flimsy if you start to pedal hard or if you have a few extra pounds to start with.

I'd still recommend the bike, just not for people more than about 100kilos (220lbs) or so."

How to connect the tension wire (step2b) to the tension control

Question:

I can actually get the tension wire connected, but cannot figure out how the wires get up inside the tube to be connected with the tension control box... something just doesn't seem long enough...

Any help would be appreciated.

Approximate weight / Ease of Assembly?

Question:

I like in an apartment by myself. I have to move it up several flights of stairs if I bought it. Also since I live alone, how hard is it to assemble by oneself.

Answer:

55 lbs. and it comes in a long narrow box which was easy to slid downstairs, I'm sure it could be slid upstairs with only a bit more effort.

The manual confussed me a couple of times, but that could have just be me, :-) but I still had it assembled with in an hour with no parts missing.

Answer:

It weighs approximately 70 lbs. It should be something you can assemble alone but keep in mind that there are several steps to put it together. If you are more than 1 person, it will take less time.
