TomTom 1505M GPS
I tried a few other brands but this one has the best maps and it is easy to use, its a 5 inch screen but its really thin and doesn't look clunky. The easy mount clip works well. It doesn't have Twitter or traffic it just has a great mapping system and that's all I need on a gps.

Long update time
Purchased this on sale when my Garmin Nuvi stopped working. Thought it would get me around greater Vancouver until my Nuvi was repaired. Didn't work well out of the box but left it connected to my PC overnight to down load the latest maps and voila, better than my Nuvi! Had a few connection issues, but Customer Service had the answers almost immediately and with the map update feature, new streets appear - and new ones are being built very quickly in this part of the world. Not perfect yet, but I am impressed with this device.

Good So Far
Bought the TomTom 1505 LM in Nov 2012 and had some initial problems getting the map update. The Web page wanted me to use a memory card which this unit doesn't have, or support. Called the Tech support and they took the information and sent me an e-mail answer the next day. So the problem was resolved and has worked well since. The software that runs on my computer in the background informs me if anything needs an update. The map update took about 2 hours.
The maps aren't as nice looking as our other Garmin Nuvi 285, but the routes are calculated faster than the Garmin. I can't comment on the long term durability, but so far, so good.
The price was very good.

The GPS itself feels somewhat cheap and low quality- I guess it is, but that is not really something that takes away the quality. What does take away the quality is the amount of force you need for the touch screen(more than average) and the delay in the touch screen; it is almost 1.5second delay before it does something.
Batteries die very fast.
Those are the negatives of it.
I can say it is durable so far because it's been ripped off the windshield by some female and dropped on the concrete and worked fine after.
It does have a clear voice; neat features such as, showing your speed, red light cameras, clear on when to turn when and where.
I can say it is accurate except one time it wanted me to turn left on a one way street.
It sticks on the windshield well, big screen doesn't obscure much at all and the charging cord is not very obstructive.
That ends the positives.
Over all it's okay; pretty good for the sale price but not the current price.
I give it a 2.5, it's average, but not very great.
If you're looking for a solid long lasting GPS that'll take you to the stars this is not the GPS for you.

Screen Died after only a yr and 1/2
I loved my TomTom till now. The screen has already died and I never even used it very often. I never droped it or left it in the heat or the cold. Not very happy. Now I have to buy another GPS already. Wasn't a very good investment. The screen should last a lot longer. Now I don't know whether to try another TomTom or buy another brand.

Don't Waste Your Cash
Very disappointed after originally thinking this was a superior product compared to a Garmin. Both proved equally useless, unless you have an actual map with you. Keeps wanting to give you the same route even after selecting alternate routes???? Also, the map updates do not work (or takes 2 days to download on hi speed!!!!!!!!). So much for "free life time updates". Will go back to using maps and tossing a second GPS in the trash. Would have rated at 0 stars if possible.

My sister has one of these units. I've used it a couple of times, and found it worked well. Wish the battery life were longer.
