Terrible blades
Bought a pair for my son who started taking skating lessons. After only two 45 minute classes, I found a crack on one skate blade. I exchanged it at the store and thought it just might be a bad pair. Well, after 3 weeks with the second pair, I now found cracks on each skate blade. These may be the lowest priced skates they sell, but I can't believe that two pairs cannot even last a winter skating season.

Awful skate
I purchased these for my son for his first year playing hockey. The blades are awful, they are rollers and no sharpening would fix it, he couldn't keep his balance. Also there is very little ankle support and his ankles kept buckling in. I've since bought bauers and they are perfect.

Small size not recommended
I purchased the Junior 1 size for my son who skated well in Bauer Youth size 13 skates. He had trouble maintaining balance in the X-Lite skates. When he ended up falling on his face we stopped using them. I think the blade on the Junior 1 size is too short. I then purchased the Bauer Nexus 22 Junior 1 size skates and they are fine.

Poor quality skates
I have bought a pair of these skates because the price was right and the fit and comfort was just right. I have so far had to bring back the skates two times. The first time the plastic that holds the blade was cracked on both skates, the second time a piece of plastic was sticking up from inside the skate making it impossible to wear. I do like these skates but the quality of the product is very poor. Just be careful of when you buy these skates and check for defects which i failed to do in the first place. The company should focus more on quality assurance than anything.

Questionable quality
I bought these skates knowing that I skate a lot less than I used to and they were a great price by a company that used to make Cooper. I took my chances because of the great price, but I question the quality.
The left blade moulding is a bit misshaped leaving the blade edge less than perpendicular to the ice. I tried to have the blade sharpened a couple of times, but it didn't make a difference; I dont have the same grip/friction on my left skate compared to my right skate - pushing off (left) often results in slipping.
I'm getting rid of them at the nearest consignment store and buying a decent pair of skates.

Skates for skaterhaters
My 10 yr old son was ready for a new pair of skates. He doesn't like skating and we're lucky to get out 10 times/season. So we went looking for comfortable skates. He tried on every brand in various sizes and we were about to give up when I spotted this brand I was not familiar with. I did not have high hopes for these mystery skates but he tried them on and said "these were the best!" I have the same size feet and I had to try them on just to see what he meant, and I had to agree. Very comfy. And the price was very comfortable too! I later found out that Winnwell was originally Cooper brand.
