Buy One!
So far so good. I originally bought this cooler for camping so I wouldn't have to buy ice every day. It works excellent on both 120VAC and 12VDC power.
The last few weeks I have used it as an indoor beer fridge for a week at a time on holidays, and it works phenomenally well. It keeps everything right around 0C at room temperature.
Two minor gripes:
-A bit of condensation seems to settle in the inside fan. When you open the lid, it gurgles in the fan. Just a bit annoying, that's all.
-There is no thermostat. This works fine at room temperature or slightly below, but when the outside temperature drops too low when camping, your food and libations will freeze. This is easily remedied by turning it off at night.
All in all, a great buy, well worth the money. No ice to buy ever again!

Excellent product - buy it!!
My wife and I bought this cooler for a 1-week camping trip. We're thrilled with this product. Despite near record-breaking summer temperatures, this cooler kept our bacon and eggs, yogurt etc, nice and cool.
The cooling unit does sweat (into the cooler) when being used however it's not a major issue for us (it isn't that much water - even after a week!).
Our only (minor) concern with this unit is the external power transformer. It gets a really warm which suggests it might be a little undersized for the task, however, over a full week of constant use, it didn't cause any problems - so no worries!
This product sure beats a regular cooler with a few bags of ice. It's well worth it!

Excellent Product
I'm a tractor Trailer driver that goes between Simcoe Ont. & california. This cooler keeps EVERTHING cold. have not lost food yet. I travel in hot climates and still works GREAT.
This cooler comes with the AC Adapter as well as the 12 volt plug.
I paid full price & it's worth every penny.
Hope this helps

5 star cooler
Purchased for an 18 day road trip from cold to hot weather and back. Kept our food cool for the duration. We wheeled it from the car to the hotel room.
Our main purpose was to be able to drive without stopping and to eat food without the added salt of fast food. Plus we used it for fruit and veggies and dip.
It does have condensation like mentioned before; I kept a tea towel in the cooler below the fan, but not up against it -circulation is necessary- for that purpose. It will catch the water when you open the lid. I also thought the food to be colder closer to the fan. Just keep your tender greens to the other side.
Rubber Maid has new containers (dark red lid attaches to the bottom of the container for storage) that fit this cooler perfect.
Highly recommended!

Almost a great Cooler
Bought it to go the cottage.....performance is great the problem is the handles. When fully loaded and pick it up by the handles you can feel them bend. I returned it and bought the next model up (it has handles molded right in) spend a little more money and get the better cooler

Very pleased
This has been an excellent purchase so far! We replaced our 10+ year old Koolatron that went everywhere with us on road trips and couldn't be happier. It cools better than our old unit and it's nice and quiet.
LIKES: Lid stays open on it's own when opened upright so easy to load. Lid automatically locks when closed with spring loaded latch. Excellent cooling that kept everything nice and cold. Bottle access hatch is surprisingly effective. Ditto for wheels and tow handle. Compartment divider to keep softer items from being crushed by bottles. Quiet fan. Nice and tall so packs very easily with bottles upright. 120V AC adaptor included in box so this one is actually a better deal than the non-wheeled version which doesn't include the adaptor. Battery saver switch.
DISLIKES: Does create condensation in humid environments that drips to the bottom. but that's just physics. (Our old unit did it as well) Doesn't have a drain plug on the bottom.
BOTTOM LINE: If you're in the market for one of these electronic coolers then no worries with this one. Highly recommended! We never travel without one and save a small fortune stocking up on drinks and food before the trip instead of buying expensive pop and munchies at the stores and gas stations along the way. If you stop at fruit stands like we do you also have no worries keeping fresh fruit either. The AC adaptor (included) is a must so that you can keep everything cold overnight at stops.

Great Camping Fridge
Bought this for camping as our trailer does not have a fridge. Worked better than expected! Moisture does tend to build up in humid environments, but still much better than the flooded coolers from melting ice. After running for over a week non -stop, our cooling fins had iced up and the fan made a clicking noise but unplugging it for about an hour let the ice melt and it was as good as new. Including the two different hookups (car and 120v adapter) was a great addition too!

GREEEEAAAAAT!!!
Just got back from a 6,000mil trip to US. Went through 12 states and visited Grand Canyon,
Graceland, Carlsbad Caverns, Branson, Dallas, Amarillo, Elpaso, Albequerci Fort Knox, Patton Museum, Kennedy assanination museum, Precious Moments museum, Eureka Springs for Passion Play & tours Etc Etc. The cooler was a joy to have. Kept food and drinks ice cold.
We carried it into motel at night and plugged it in with adaptor. Saved lots of money. Instead of buying lunch every day we could have a picnic at a rest stop and truly enjoy the scenery and mountain views. Texas IS huge. Oil wells & black Angus cattle, long horns, cowboys. Alamo San Anontio ETC ETC I will now purchase 2 more for each of my sons

Electric Cooler
I purchased the cooler, tried it out at home to see how cold it would really be, didn't think that something that pushes air could chill as cold as they said.
This item will be great on the July 1st long weekend camping with friends... should have bought one of these last year... takes a good 12hour to obtain a significant temperature difference, recommend chilling prior to packing with food items...

Very Worthwhile Purchase
This has to be the best Mobile Cooler we've ever owned. Being able to access your cold drinks without opening the door really is convenient. An added super feature is the battery minder that will turn off the cooler before the car battery is drained. I definately recommend this cooler.
