worst purchase ever I bought this winch to use at a future date. That day came and I installed it as it was laid out in the instruction manual, tried the remote and nothing happened, in or out. Next time I'll bench test it before I install it. May 13, 2013

Absolute gargabe I recently purchased this winch to use on my car trailer. I pull thousand pound cars on and off, so a 3,000 lb winch should be OK I thought. WRONG! This piece of trash failed the first time I used it. The remote plugs into the top of a plastic case; it broke when I plugged in the remote. Then I pulled the release to pull the cable out. There is a sheet of metal across the bottom that puts pressure on the cable to keep it spooled tightly; it grabbed and turned inside out; Now the winch will not spool out; the remote no longer works. In three uses it has fallen apart. Save yourself the money and buy a brand name like Warn. I will. March 30, 2013
