Disappointed
This device will not power my Satellite dish. It will work for an LCD TV and blender.

Cant get it to work
I bought this to power a printer in my truck for work but it doesn't seem to work at all. Power in shows 12-13.5 v depending if the truck is running or not but the printer doesn't even try to turn on. Even tried hooking directly to the battery with the clamps. Same result. Also tried to charge my bluetooth dongle but that doesn't even work. Returned to the store and got another one and the second one is the same. Keep thinking I must be doing something wrong but theres just nothing you really can do wrong. Gauge lights up but no power comes out. Too bad.

Powers all my kids electronics on those long trips
I have four different inverters of which this model handles the highest amperage. The unit is made of sturdy plastic and has an LCD display which indicates the amperage draw.
I hook my kids laptops to this model and it works well to keep them busy on those long trips and keep their electronics powered. A good unit to power electronics.

Not worth the money
This is probably the worst Inverter I have ever owned. I run a laptop and printer inside my work truck. This unit struggled to provide enough power to run both at the same time, even when direct connected to the battery. This is the third of this model I have tried and they all are the same. I have replaced the uit with the 300W regular model and much happier. Dont waste your money on this.

Poor quality
I've bought, used, and installed alot of Canadian Tire power inverters over the years and this one is the worst. I've had great luck to this point. Opening the box, it was obvious that this inverter has been made very cheap. The componets are very cheap and flimsy compared to past models. Quality aside, performance is terrible. I use inverters for charging 18 volt, DeWalt Lithium Ion batteries. I DON'T need a pure sine inverter! I've used modified sine inverters for years with these chargers so I know that's not the problem. The problem is the quality of new-model inverters from Canadian Tire.

Not Too Shabby
People complain about the fan, but I didn't find it to be too bad. I'd rather have the fan run than have it overheat. As well, I found it works well, but the shutoff is overly sensitive. I was able to run my laptop and a stereo simutaneously, as well as a 20" tv/vcr combo on its own. When I plugged in a basic pedestal fan, when I set it to high the surge protector kept shutting the unit off. It's a good unit for basic uses, but don't push it. If you plan on abusing it, I suggest going to a higher rated model. I've only owned it for a few days so I can't say anything for it's durability.
