worth every penny!
I've had both the little green machine and this auto-care model. I upgraded only because my dog ate the power brush and it was on sale. but WOW - i've had it for over a year now and it has been a godsend. Having 2 cats and a dog - spot cleaning carpets has never been easier. Even stains that have set in for a few days have easily come out. I even love how it cleans my microsuede couch.
oddly enough, didn't think it cleaned the upholstery in my truck all that well...but to be fair, i didn't try all THAT hard. - i will never go without this machine ever again!
ps - my friends often borrow it because it works so well!

Great Machine for the Money
I own an automotive detailing company and I have used this machine in a pinch. This machine is an affordable consumer version of a hot water carpet extractor. It is able to do 95% of what the $1000+ hot water extractors (steam cleaners) can do. The only difference is that it takes much longer because you have to go over and over and over the same area if it is heavily soiled.
Throw away the turbo nozzle. The opening on it is huge, bigger than the nozzle of a industrial carpet extractor. It is physically impossible to create enough suction in a nozzle that size with anything less than a large 5HP+ motor. I use the small nozzle and it works fine. Always brush and vacuum loose dirt and trash from the surface with a shop vac before using ANY carpet extractor, especially a cheep one like this that has no debris filter! It will give amazing results if used correctly.
Dont fill the tank with cleaning solution. Fill the tank with hot tap water and only water. Use something like Folex, which is in the household cleaning products isle at Canadian Tire. Spray it on the carpet/upholstery and brush it in. Let it sit for a couple of minutes to break down the dirt. Then go at it with the proheat, making multiple passes until carpet is clean. Dry the carpet with forced air and the doors or windows open, the vehicle fan set to floor ventilation works. This will give you 95% results of what a professional detailing package would give you for about the same cost. Use this machine on your full vehicle twice and it has paid for itself as an alternative to professional work.

Overall a good buy
Purchased this machine when on sale (otherwise would have purchased the little green machine) after a dog was ill in my car.
Definitely did the job. I cleaned all the mats in my station wagon, the upholstery, and the ceiling (yes it was on the ceiling too) and I didn't even go through an entire tank of cleaning solution. The water stayed nice and hot.
My unit came with the turbo brush, the regular brush, and a crevice tool. The turbo brush isn't all that 'turbo' and rotates rather slowly and stops or jams often, the regular brush is just as effective if not more.
I was a little bothered by the fact that it has a place to store the regular brush and the turbo brush attached to the machine, but there is no where to attach the crevice tool.
I was also a little disappointed in the suction, but it still did a goo job, just make sure that if you are doing more than spot cleaning you leave enough time for your vehicle to dry before you need to drive it.
The cleaning solutions leave a subtle scent, and as someone who is allergic to most cleaners I was not bothered by this solution at all. I used the pet stain and odor solution.
Pros:
- heats water nicely
- easy to carry
- long extension cord
- stores compactly with no need to dismantle
- easy to clean machine after use
- products didn't trigger my chemical allergies
- got all the stains out of my car quickly
Cons:
- turbo brush doesn't work well
- no place to store crevice tool on machine
- leave things a little damper than desired

Not so great
I had it for 2 years, everything works good in this unit except it doesnt pick up the garbage from car carpet like it should.
Not worth the 130$ i paid for it. Next time i'll buy dyson.

Expected better
Bought this for cleaning up after a new puppy. Wasn't very impressed with it, seemed like a cleaner mixed with hot water in a spray bottle did a better job. Left the carpets soaked. Cleaning brushes worked well, the motorized one was really nice, as for using it in the car, hot water with a brush takes salt out of carpets and the turtle brand carpet and upholstery cleaners do a good enough job for me.

Recommend to pet owners,car owners, and parents!
So I have owned this product for a year and a bit. I have used it on my carpets at home(after pet and children accidents), on my upholstery, and in my car (split milk and mud). I previously bought the little bissel without the added heating option but returned it for this product while still using the cleaners for the little bissel. The added Heat does wonders!! I love the combination and it works amazingly with little effort. I do find that the spray stream is a little wide but it doesn't hurt anything. My life is so much easier with this product!

Better than expected
I bought a 10 year old used car. There were heavy stains and I tried many chemicals to clean it. Nothing worked. I decided to spend chuck of my allowance to buy this product. The stain came out and I was surprised how dirty my seats were.
It was straight and easy to use, and easy to clean the machine after using.
The only thing it could improve is suction.
It looks like it will take some time to dry up.
Overall I am very satisfied.

Very Pleased with this Product
We've been very pleased with how well this cleans! We replaced a seat backrest in our car with one from an auto wrecker. Although it had been exposed to rain/snow/etc., the Bissel cleaned it so well that you cannot tell that the backrest has been replaced.
In the house, we have used it to spot clean the carpets and it has worked quite well for most of the spots.

Good as original
I had the original green clean machine for over ten years, finally broke and I bought this one. Used over 20 hrs so far and no problems, better suction than original, easier to clean.
