Not just for car engines I looked at some competitors versions of this before buying. It is far superior to the H-Freight's equivalent. This has all steel wheels and is easy to put together as long as you ignore the instructions. I bolted at 14 inch length of 2 X 12 Lumber to the face plate. It makes an economical and handy outboard motor stand. Holds my 30 HP Yamaha with a 20 inch shaft easily December 3, 2012

About time I remember a friend having a motor out of a classic roll off the bench and crack the block on the floor. Never happened to me but I always wrestle them on a make shift bench then its awkward. Not any more. I just bolt the plate on the motor and roll it in and out of the shop to clean up. I like to rotate the motor on the stand to work on top and bottom. Was happy with the regular price as it is strong and well made. It isn't really big which is nice. I put a cardboard on the bottom to keep the floor clean and am happy to have such convenience May 15, 2011
