I returned 2 of them
I bought one of these compressors last fall. After blowing 4-20 amp fuses in the wife's mini-van a mechanic friend suggested i try ( even tho not recommended ) a 30 amp fuse. After it blew 2 of them and also blew a fuse when i tried plugging it into an outlet in my truck i gave up and returned it, The 2nd. one would start slowing down after a few seconds and if you shut it off and restarted it ...it would run for 30 secs then slow down again. After 3 or 4 mins. it also blew a fuse. I gave up and returned it. They were nice enough to refund the difference when i purchased the smaller one that inflates tires in 4 mins. Cross my fingers...i have not tried that one yet.

A "must have" in your trunk
I have always had one in my trunk for years (another brand) and they are very handy to have when you need it (or your coworkers or friends have a flat and need one). But they took forever to fill.
I purchased this one from Canadian Tire because of the speed. I was not disappointed. My two slow leak tires were inflated super quick (150 kPa inflated to 240 kPa in just over a minute).
I also was surprised at how quiet it was compared to my old one. It also didn't dance around like my old one did.
The on/off switch was also a bonus to have.
The gauge was also accurate.
I bought a second one to keep in our 2nd car. I like how the wires, hose, and accessories all have a location on the compressor body to be tucked away for storage.
Not sure how all those other people were blowing fuses in their car. The unit itself has a 15amp fuse in it. I would expect that fuse to blow first before the cigarette lighter fuse.
The speed makes it worth the purchase.

Good Purchase
It inflated my SUV tire in less than 10 minutes, it was completely flat. No blown fuses or anything like that. It did the job!
I picked it up while it was on sale, so I wouldn't pay the 49.99 regular price for it.

Junk
I bought this air compressor thinking that it was a decent one. Man was I wrong. After blowing up 3 bicycle tires the air compressor died and naturally just after the warranty was off. Take my advice and don't buy it !!!!!!!

Air Compressor
I purchased this air compressor when it went on sale for $25. I thought it was a high quality product since the original asking price was $50, I was wrong. It would blow car fuses and I realized that you have to turn the unit on and then screw it into the tire so that the fuses don't blow b/c of initial power spike ( it took a lot of fuses before I realized that). After 3 months of moderate use it died on me.
Product is poorly made.

Best Pump For The Money (when on sale)
Quite a good product, after reading reviews I had to post a few things in contrast to other reviews.
-The LED light not being very bright, but, at the side of the road with no other light source, it's pretty nice to have.
-Electrical system issues with this product, these people must either be not very savvy when it comes to how long to run a pump OR how many other things to run off of their lighter socket at the same time as running this pump, the answer is ZERO, run nothing else when using any high current draw device from any 12V source. If it's blowing after that, maybe a lemon product, or your foreign-value-car also has about as much ampacity engineered into it as it does looks and style... ;)
Overall:
Great pump for the money if you get it on sale, I've recently found a better unit, but, it was $100 on sale, not really comparable, oh, and the high end $100 unit will blow your fuses too, it's draw is even higher. Any high volume pump will have to draw more current than a $9.99 'special-pump' at CTC. Want a powerful pump, you'll have to feed it more juice!
Aside:
The gauge is quite accurate, people comparing anything less than $50+ digital gauge to an analog gauge, might want to go with the readings of the analog, I've compared this with my gauges from work, very close, within 1-2psi readings, which is good for tires, it's air, not medication...

Waste of Space, Time & Money !
* First One - Handle attached to the outer shell broke off from the case. Weak material. Returned !
* Second One - Charger end burnt out atleast 25 times or more. Changed the fuses, cover, contacts, Wire and wore out eventually !

Blows fuse after fuse
I have same problem as noted by a lot of other customers which is blowing of the fuse of the car for the power outlet after a short time of use of the pump. It has blown three 20A fuses so far after almost 1 year of use.
One more problem I had with pump was shortly after purchase when the wire inside the power plug was blown. I somehow managed to have it running again after spending a long time trying to find the problem and repairing it.
Bottom line is if you dont wanna run it with clip on directly to the battery then dont buy this pump.

Great, but not for long
I bought this compressor not too long ago and it worked great for the first few uses, but then it stopped working. I originally thought the machine was great, easy to use, durable and quick for it's size, but i guess that comes at the expense of the major design flaw. the compressor blew a fuse in my car. good product, but not so great when you can't use it. if you have a larger vehicle like a truck, it might be able to handle this nifty machine, otherwise, don't try it
