Terrible Product - Buyer Beware

"The spout is complicated and poorly designed and it leaks when pouring. The "safety" and "leak-proof" design is ridiculous. Hard to believe this product was made in Canada. It's 2011... I would think by this point in time there would be a perfect design for a leak-proof gas can. I would NOT recommend this product."

Do Not Buy This One

"I purchased this last month and only got to try it last week. The spring loaded valve keeps leaking and not due to cross treading or loose connection.
The plunger nozzle is too stiff.
Not sure if I can return it after having had gas in it, but definetly not worth buying.
I was even forewarned that it was no good, but I thought nothing ventured nothing gained. Not True"

"Purchased the 20L container last week. The spring loaded valve keeps leaking. Must have lost more than 1L of fuel. So much for eco-friendly, more like a pollutant. I will be taking this back."

Keeps Gas in the can

"Bought the small 5 liter size and it works pretty good. The spout is a little stiff, but I think it's made that way to maintain a tight seal.

I've tipped over the gas can many times without a single spill over the last year."

Not worth Buying

"I purchased the 20 litre Eco-Safe Gas Can last week. After trying it twice, leaked gasoline on my driveway from around the gasket area. There was no "cross-threading" and connections were well tightened. The plunger nozzle is much too stiff. The pressure needed for the plunger to open, I believe, causes the gas leakage around the gasket."

Finally! This Is Excellent

"I always carry spare fuel in the truck during the winter, and no matter what can I used, or the seal I would use, vapors always escaped.

This can, the 10L version is what I bought, works. No vapors whatsoever, and easy to pour. I am very happy with it. I didn't buy it for the longest time because I equated "eco" with inferior; It's not."

Well it's about time!

"Works great! Unless you travelling with it, you'll never have to mess around with the stinky cap again. NO MORE SPILLS. Once the tip is in whatever you're filling, simply apply a little pressure then, and only then, will the gas poor out. You won't regret it, works well."

How does this gas can work?

Question:

Do you have to put it on "unlock"?
Gas doesn't come out?
Spilled a lot trying to get it to work.
Do you have to hold the spout?

Answer:

Yes, turn it to the unlock position. Press down on the spout, gas will flow. When finished release spout and gas will stop. Please go to www.scepter.ca - on left side of page is online assembly and Instruction. Clip on the ECO gas can assembly and use. This video will explain step by step.
