Fantastic Product
I've tried other products before to renew the headlights on a 2001 vehicle with no success. This product worked quickly and easily, and the light look like they are brand new! I used less than 1/2 of the sanding materials in the kit so it should work for 2-3 vehicles in most cases (although you will probably need more polishing compound to do extra vehicles).

Try Toothpaste First
Actually bought the kit on sale and have no doubt it would work providing you follow instructions and put the time and effort into it. Neighbour tipped me off about using toothpaste on the lens and it actually worked fairly well. No doubt this kit would work better but I was satisfied enough that I haven't used it yet....was just my wife's 2002 minivan after all.

it works
For cars that have headlight that have begun to get "cloudy", this can make a big difference. It takes a bit of time and effort, but after using, the plastic lens really looks better by far! Makes the whole car look spiffier, and improves visibility. Well worth the time and effort.

Easy to use and very effective
I had never attempted any kind of work like this, and was very worried before I did the job. At the end of the job, it turned out beautifully - and it was quite easy, only requiring an electric drill as a special tool.
The instructions are excellent. The materials are all included. I recommend this to anyone wanting to do this job himself - it is super easy to do (and I am the kind of person who never does his own work on the car, apart from an occasional hand-wash and wax).

1st Product in 30 years that does what it claims
This is the 1st product that I have come across in 30 years that does exactly as it what it claims it does! The before and after results are amazing! I found that the poor areas of the headlight improved significantly while the areas that were not affected as much had little difference. Don't try to get all areas the same as in the video (foggy) concentrate on the worst degradation. The areas that are the most severe respond best to treatment you'll notice as you go. don't force the drill or use excess pressure. Take you time. Allow 2 hours from the time you get off you but 'til the time you get back on it again. Take good mental notes as the condition changes between sanding grits. Focus on the smoothness and the removal of pitted areas. Again if some areas are not terribly bad then they need significantly less work polish and buff at the end. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS PROVIDED.

Brilliant kit with materials to spare!
The headlights on my '05 Tacoma were pretty badly oxidized, scratched, and pitted...the light output was definitely suffering! I had attempted the toothpaste method previously with absolutely no success...my headlights were too far gone. I didn't want to spend an hour sanding by hand, so I chose the 3M kit because EVERYTHING is done using a drill. I, like others have mentioned in the past, used a corded drill rather than a battery operated unit. This is important because the key to doing this successfully (or any headlight resto kit) is that you NEED TO TAKE YOUR TIME! The first light I did took me about half an hour. It came out significantly better, but was nowhere near the level of clarity I had expected. The second headlight I took my time on; after over an hour of sanding, wiping, sanding again, and wiping some more (you get the idea), the lens is crystal clear! I'll be going back and redoing the first lens with some extra care and attention.
There is more than enough material in here to do two sets of lights provided you're diligent whilst sanding and frequently clean your sandpaper. The only issue is that the rubbing compound and sealant/protectant aren't in resealable packages so you'll have to use paperclips/tape/whatever to close them up when you're done.

This tihs reverse works
Read the instructions a couple times before starting, took an hour from start to finish, hands were tired from hold the drill but beats manually sanding(just imaging the blistered hands from hand sanding). The results look great, even makes the car look a few years younger.

Almost as new
I expected the result to be good but it exceeded expectations.
Followed the instructions carefully.
Took me about 2 hours to finish the job which was more than expected but it was worth it.
About half of the supplies were required only so I have enough for a second car (less the polish compound which is gone because it comes in a small bag).
Only few deep scratches can still be seen versus a new headlight, other than that no difference.
Visibility on the road is very good now...should have done it a long time ago not wait more than 10 years.

Amazing product
I have used the 3M product on three different cars now with all having the same great results. It is typically the more expensive product but worth every cent. The best part is the instructions are very easy to read and understand. (Any one can do it). And there are enough supplies in the kit to complete a set of headlights in the worst condition.
Great product!

Works Excellent !
Tried a Mothers kit first and only achieved marginal results. Took it back and got this 3M kit. This kit was a little more work and about two bucks more but it made the lenses look like new. Very happy with the results.
