Paint - Yes...Rust - No
These do a good job removing paint, but do not do a good job removing rust. You'll wear threw them fast trying to remove rust and you'll find the rust coming back.

Great for My Application
I have an 03 GMC Sonoma which had bad road rash along the bottom 12 inches of the body all the way around. I fixed this problem with 1 can of Adhesion Promoter, 3 cans of Rocker Guard, and one of these Wheels. This product was perfect for scoring the paint, and most often took it right off without any problems. Like the other reviewer said, it does disintegrate after awhile, but I was able to do the whole area I needed and only used about a 3rd of the Disc. I'll be using this to do the same thing with my Dad's truck. And by the way, my truck looks awesome now!

Wire Wheel is Better!
I bought this product for an auto body repair job. I thought it would be better than the wire brush I had been using (attached to a drill). This product may remove paint a little better than a wire brush but is worse in removing rust. It also lasts a fraction of the time a wire brush does. It simply disintegrates, something I was not expecting, I used mine for about 15 minutes of work and the pad is now half the diameter it was.
For the money it is not worth it, buy a Wire Brush for your drill instead.
