15A-2A charger
Great out of the box. Took a 70% charge to over 90% in 45 min. Great if your caught with a low batt. and have to be some where 10 min. ago. Should have bought this in place of the 2A trickle charger years ago.

Broken .. just makes clicking noise now
I bought this a year ago and appeared to work okay but after a few uses it doesn't work anymore .. the display flashes all zeros and there is a clicking noise every second. Can't recommend it due to unreliability.

Not a reliable charger
I bought one in August 2012, it is now December and I need it to charge my battery but the charger says Full and there is no lasting starter power in my battery so I bought a battery tester and it indicates only 1/4 charged. Tried on several batterys and the same happens. In cold weather I would not trust this charger. My son bought one and his is also not working. There is no warranty consideration at Canadian Tire without a receipt.

Defective
As with a few others my 1525 would not go into "maintenance mode" irrespective of what I tried. I've tested the charger on a almost brand new battery and one which we've had in the car for 2 years. In both cases the charger jumps from "Full" to error "FO5" once its completed charging. I purchased this rather expensive charger for its maintenance capability which appears to be non-existent (in this case). Also trying the suggestion of charging on a higher current setting did not rectify the situation.
Thankfully this device has a 3-year warranty.

Tricks itself into thinking the battery is charged
Seemed to work for a few months, but had problems with my boat, which turned out to be electrical. Shop said I was running with a low battery, but I had always charged it with this unit before going out. After buying a few new batteries, I started to suspect this charger. I've tried to use it on my car, lawntractor, golf cart, with the same result. It somehow brings a dead battery to what it thinks is 100% within 10 minutes which is impossible, then just trickles (probably no putting in anything). It's not bad batteries because of how many new ones I've had and all different vehicles. Based on other reviews sounds like I got a bad one, but by the time I realized its probably too late and can't find the receipt. I notice that no garage uses little chargers like this...it's small size and low weight are suspicious. I'm going to buy a big wheeled one now with no "auto". Just charge when I say charge and I'll decide when its done.

Excellent reliable charger
Have been using it for just over a year to charge my Nautilius 100Amphr marine deep cycle battery. Works without a flaw (almost). After the first drain the battery never charges to more than 90% of the battery's capacity. I am not sure if it is a charger problem or a battery problem. I do charge my battery once every 2-3 months when not in use.
Still highly recommended.

GREAT PRODUCT
bought this last night for our trailer battery as the converter has went in our trailer.. it was almost completly dead hooked it up and not even 12 hours later its already at 90% charged and that was on the 2-15a optimal charge(so the lowest setting) love the lcd displays aswell! got it on sale deffinatly worth the price!

Best home battery charger ever
This is without doubt the best charger I have ever owned. Fantastic versatility. Charges any size of lead acid battery as well as gell batteries, deep cycle, you name it!
Charging state of battery can be seen as a percentage or in volts, another bonus. Simply connect the battery, select the charge rate, (2, 5 or 10 amps) and set the type of battery and it simply does the rest. The charge is swift. Any problems and the charger senses it and stops the charge.
On sale this is fantastic value. Even at regular price its worth it!

Great Product
Right out of the box I tested the charger out on a two year old motorcycle battery that wouldn't take a charge from my old charger. I left it on the Nautilus for 24 hours and in that time it revived it from the dead!!! Now I am wishing I didn't buy a new battery for my motorbike! Highly recommended.
