Battery charger
I bought this since my inverter went on my trailer. I love the fact that once the battey is fully charged it will turn itself off and kick back on when the battery runs low. I was lucky enough to get it on sale and everyone at camp now wants one

Decent for the price.
I bought this one on sale a couple years ago and use it to charge the batteries for my fish finder, fish cam and trolling motor. It works well. I like the re-conditioning feature on it to revive an old battery.
I would recommend this to anyone who may not have much electrical or battery/charger knowledge. Everything on it is automatic: plug in, leave it to charge, come back later, done and ready to use.
No complaints so far.

2nd one just failed
I returned the first one of these after it continued to flash 008 008.
After a couple of uses the second one is doing the same, there will not be a third instead I will pick up some thing with some size to it, my other CT charger is about 30 yrs old and still works.

Not that great for deep cycle agm batteries
Got one on sale and then returned it right away.
I have a nautilus 100 AH agm deep cycle battery, new from CT. It registered it as fully charged after a few hours. After testing it with a voltmeter it was only partially charged. I ran a 35 W load and it drained the battery to 12.2 Volts after only 40 minutes.
Not recommended.

Great So Far
I needed another battery charger what with a Corvette in storage for the winter and constantly hooked up to my older charger that maintains its battery. I have another car not used very often so its battery can discharge without use, and a lawn tractor battery brought in for the winter. I hesitated to get this as there were some negative reviews but it was an instore special for about $63 that had not shown up when looking online. It was now about the price of another one I had gone in to get at regular price but without all the features of this one. This one had a three year warranty, was automatic, and had the desulphate feature and float mode which I wanted so figured I would give it a try. I first tried it out on the ten year old lawn tractor batter and it immediately started to desulphate it which I had expected on this old battery. This went on for about 20 hours with no sign of it starting to charge it until I wiggled the clamps to make better contact and that was enough to start it charging at a small amperage for this smaller battery. In about 12 hours, it read FUL so that was a success with a desulphated and fully charged battery. I moved it on to the battery in the little used car which I knew was fairly well charged already from my old charger the previous week. It started to trickle charge immediately and later it read FUL as well indicating it was now in float mode and ready to come on again if the voltage drops at all. I will leave it connected through the winter when the car is not used. So far so good then!

Slow to charge
Just got this to charge and maintain 2 deep cycle batteries that i use in a floor scrubbing machine. Batteries are brand new from Canadian tire. This unit takes at least 9 hours to charge these batteries to a full charge on automatic mode. Have not tried manual yet. Seems a little long to me. Also find the unit quite loud when the fan kicks in. i may end up taking it back and spending the 200 on a proper deep cycle charger. Still cheaper than 800 for a new scrubber charger

On 3rd charger now, always F05 after 24 hours
I have owned this charger for about 2 years, I have returned it 2X already, I have a corvette that I keep in my unheated garage over winter. I purchased this charger specifically because it has maintenance mode. Well the battery is almost new (purchased at the end of the summer) and i've had the charger on the car for about a month (yes, its completely disconnected from the car) and it always goes to F05 after 24 hours. I have tried about 4 difference batteries over the last 2 years, and have never seen it once go into maint. mode. I don't suggest this charger if you are looking for something to keep your battery consistently charged over the winter. The manual suggests that I have a defective battery, but I don't believe that. If you have actually seen this charger go into maintenace mode, please send me a picture. I would like to see it with my own eyes.
I appears to be decent as a trickle charger. but thats it. I will probably try returning it next year, and hopefully they have upgraded it before my 3 year warranty expires.

Not quite "Intelligent"
I had bought this charger specially to charge and maintain powersport AGM batteries: It was advertised as AGM/Gel compatible with maintenance and desulfatation modes. Sadly, it seems some flaw in the charge logic is keeping it from doing it's job properly, making it unable to stay in maintenance mode for longer than a day (read the Q&A section for many questions about this "F05" error), meaning it's utterly useless if I want it to maintain my motorcycle battery during winter storage.
I'll be keeping it around anyway as it still works fine for bulk charging larger batteries, but if you're looking for a dedicated float charger for powersport (or deep cycle) batteries, look for something that's built for the task. I've just given up and ordered a Yuasa 5 stage charger to properly handle this task.

Great Charger - Does it All
When this item came on sale as one of the Grand Opening offerings at our new store, I got it right away.
I use it to charge my Deep Cycle battery that I use for my Minn Kota fishing motor. The charger couldn't work better and I am very happy.

Not smart enough !
Got one of these for my Nautilus (Can. Tire purchase) deep cycle 12v. Would NOT charge it without showing battery as defective. Totally useless to me. Battery is new, and charges fine with old dumb "automatic" analog charger.
