Great Product
I've been driving for 27 years and had quite a number of cars. I have only used one brand of engine oil and that it....Pennzoil. Whether the regular or the synthetic...for me, this is the best that you can put in your car engine. I normally buy Pennzoil when it is on sale at Canadian Tire.

Works
I bought this same oil at another establishment and found it worked fine. Normally use synthetic, but was on a trip and had to keep to a budget.
The only issue I have found is that starting has slowed a bit as I have gone over my oil change period. Haven't had that happen with synthetic oils, even in the winter. Not a bad oil, works fine.

Fantastic oils!
You simply cannot beat Pennzoil Yellow Bottle, or Pennzoil Platinum as a great oil at a great price. I have seen many oil analysis reports, and Pennzoil oils have the highest levels by far of molybdenum, which is the best additive to reduce friction, therefore reducing scuffing and wear, and it also coats the cylinder walls to prevent oil consumption. In addition to the moly, it also has zinc and phosphorus for added protection. Viscosity levels are always spot on, and it has a very strong additive pack to keep internal engine components clean and working properly and efficiently. It is the only choice for cleaning neglected engines with sludge build up.

Synthetic 5w30!
I used to just use the generic house brand oil and filter at a local oil change shop for a couple years until their prices really started to go up. Once they hit around the $50 mark for an oil change on my 95 Ranger it was time to start looking into doing it myself.
That's when I started looking online for information and recommendations for my truck and the Pennzoil Platinum synthetic seemed to come up a lot on some various forums and oil related websites (seems to be a universal bargain priced synthetic especially when CT has it on sale for 40% off!)
I never figured that oil brand/type would make a huge difference on fairly this low performance, 15year old, 160k+ engine but it was a very noticeable difference. I went from house brand (petro canada based I think) oil with a generic filter (fram orange can I think) to using the Platinum and a higher end Fram filter and after a few hundred km's the truck just seemed to want to go more willingly and smoothly. The best part is I noticed a fuel economy increase, not so much in the city but a measurable difference on the highway.
So in the end I get better performance, better fuel economy and when bought on sale and doing the change myself I'm saving almost $20 an oil change while using a better quality product.

General Use
We use this often on our older car and find it works well without causing any engine problems.

Excellent motor oil.
I use Pennzoil in all my cars, never had any problems. And what is great about Pennzoil (Quakerstate also) is that they provide a warranty - if there is any damaged internal engine parts, Pennzoil will cover it. Check out their website.
