Good for 1 year only
Battery life degrades fairly quickly, then you have to buy another unit??

loses charge quickly
Great out of box, sucks well and is handy. Unfortunately the charge runs out quickly, making it useless. The unplugging after it is charged to avoid damaging battery is higly impractical.

Impractical
As soon as I read in the instruction booklet that this vac. cannot be left on the charger plugged in, I did not look at anything else. I put it back in the box and I will return it.
It cannot be practical as how many of us think of recharging the vac after each use and worse, remember to unplug it or the battery will get damaged, unless one puts it on a timer and this is another expense and more bother.
I have a different Shark model with a craddle attached to the wall and plugged in, so anytime I want to use it, I do not have to worry whether there is a charge or not as I know that it is there.
This model looks exactly like the new one except that it is 10.5 Volt and the new model is 12 Volt.
I think that Shark is cutting corners. Not acceptable!!

Poor performer out of the box
Poor suction, short run time on a full charge, and after 20 months, the battery no longer will hold a decent charge. What a waste of money. Would never purchase as Shark product again again.

Great cordless vac
After our other hand vac stopped holding a charge, I picked this one up on sale at CT. After using it for a few months, I have yet to be disappointed. I almost always use it with the brush attachment on, it picks up best that way. It will get cat and dog hair off the couches with no problems.

Don't Waste Your Money
I had bought this product worst decision ever. It doesn't pick up dirt at all unless it's tiny dust particals in the air. The suction is so poor that you have to check it with your hand to see if it's sucking at all. It's a "BIG" waste of money. There are better machines out there than this.

Good when it's fully charged
This hand vac is decent for its size. I find the suction power is enough to get most major dirt. I've even sucked up some drywall dust and sawdust. The filter is easy enough to clean too.
My major complaint with this device is that the charge doesn't last long. I can't use it for too long. Whenever I pick it up, after any prolonged period of not using it, I have to wonder whether there will be any charge to keep it going longer than a minute or two. It takes a day to charge so it's not exactly practical. You basically have to keep it on the charger.
I'd buy another one on sale, just because it does work well when it's charged. I don't think I'd pay full price though.

Somewhere between average and just slightly below
If you read the instruction manual you would believe that this item came with some attachments - it doesn't - and this is annoying because they would make this item an overall good sell. Without the attachments the item does its job in the minimal sense but does require you to keep going over the same area to completely clean up. For me, disappointing! :(

Eh....
Well, it is ok. But I bought it specifically to deal with pet hair, and be prepared for a sore arm lol. You have to go over spots like 10 times to fully remove the pet hair. I would not recommend this for household use, however for a car it would be mighty convenient so I do plan to keep it. I like that it is chordless. I would say worth the money, if you intend to use it for either very small jobs or for the vehicle.
