Not So Pawfect
I got this in black so big German Shepherd paw prints would be less visible. My 39kg baby Blitz has been on it about 6 times already. The choice of zipper is a REALLY BAD one! My pup stood up the other day and his paw busted through the zipper! It's not a self-repairing zipper so it's completely useless now. I'm going to exchange this tomorrow since I'm luckily still within the 90 days. The zipper isn't heavy-duty at all. I'd say it's about the same 'beefy' plastic zipper as found on most medium-sized handbags or on my winter jacket! Definitely a design flaw!
The family is just him, my man and I for now so I kept the hammock connected all the time. I'm pleased that I can just throw the snowbrush in the back without worrying about the leather seats or getting the floor wet or when I place anything in the backseat, it won't fall to the floor and when the family went on a weekend trip, there was room to store the bedding in the foot-well underneath him. I have sat in the back with Blitz with the hammock divided, and it was just fine - he had plenty of room on his side because of it covering the foot well, and I had my side with the flap folded under me and I didn't feel it.
I wish it did come with flaps on either side to better cover the sides of longer seats. Since my SUV is a bit high, my pooch often jumps to the foot well before hopping onto the seat which doesn't work because that means he's directly on the seat and the hammock is on top of him! If he didn't see the opening, he'd just jump directly on the seat I think.
It's easy to set up. I just hang the straps over the headrests instead of inserting it through the D-rings. I recommend putting a blanket or towel at the ends of your seat. It's about 55" square.
0/5 stars for the zipper, 5/5 for the usefulness, 3/5 for the design/features, 2/5 for the plastic clips/D-rings (I can see them breaking one day!). I recommend this, but with a warning that the zipper probably won't last.
If only this was made to support all breeds of dog :(

Better than a Backyard Hammock!
After trying several dog mats, most of which are poorly made, I decided to give the hammock a try. Albeit more expensive than other dog car mats in the market, the quality of the hammock and its substrate really impressed me. Furthermore, the hammock, unlike other dog mats, covers the entire back seat of my car. And, because it is a hammock, prevents my dog from climbing into the front seat.
