Hoped to get more than a year's worth of ironing
Was satisfied with the performance of this iron while it worked. I was able to get a little over a year's worth of service from this appliance. It simply and quietly stopped working while ironing the other day; won't light up or anything. I did like the steaminess of this iron. I almost always used it's highest setting (7) which gave good results on cotton. At times it would drip a little which was mildly annoying. Overall I was disappointed with this product because of it's relatively brief period of service.

You cant adjust steam
I bought this iron to replace my B&D D2030C...the best iron ever (read American reviews) that did me good for 6 years. Back to CT and I end up with this thing. I tried it on one shirt and realized a couplle of things about it right away that I didnt like... It tips fairly easily which is no biggie but you CANT ADJUST THE STEAM. It's either on or off. The $20 cheaper B&D Pro looks to be about the same iron with a few differences. Its 1400W instead of 1500W It has only 3 steps for the temp instead of 7 like the All Temp, but YOU CAN adjust the steam completely. So I bought the Pro but be forwarned, those of you that intend on leaving it plugged in all the time like I do........ Its in my bedroom and the white light it throws when it is off lights up my room like a laser (a bit of exageration but you get the point eh?) So I bought a cheap powerbar with a switch from CT and shut it off after use that way. Meanwhile, I have no idea why they keep on coming out with new models...seems like every few months......unless its to lower costs by sacrificing some functionality and quality so as to raise profit. The D2030C was perfect and apparently you can still get it in some places in the States. If your going there then look for it...

Good while it worked
Powerful, enough steam, digital controls a bit annoying – won’t remember the settings. No issues with using tap water, didn’t drip at any settings.
A month past warranty it developed a loose / broken wire syndrome – will turn off and then on by just moving the cord. I opened it up but didn’t find anything wrong with the wires – probably a sensor.

Second in less than a year for me too
The first one of these I bought lasted a couple months then just stopped working. Wouldn't turn on, no power to it. CT replaced it with another and it worked great till now, about 6 months later and exactly the same thing! This time it just shut off while I was ironing and wouldn't turn back on. It seems like something is wrong with the electronics in this. Heading back to CT now with this defective iron. Only good thing is iron is the CT warranty on this product

2nd iron in less than 1 year
I gave it only 1 star because, I agree with the previous post, there is something wrong with this iron power wise, the first one I owned lasted 2 months then died as I was ironing, thankfully it was still under warranty and I had the bill, got it replaced but now after 6 months same problem died while I was ironing yesterday...back to ctc for a replacement again. I have paid less for an iron in previous year and they at least lasted years.

lasts for 2 years only because got cord problem and replacing cord is expensive tha buying new one.

Good Iron, good Value..
Bought this Iron over a year ago and have decided to review it here. The Iron is a good simple iron.
And by simple I mean any single guy can use it.
I do have one complaint is that the cord could be a extra 30CM longer. that would make life easier.
Also, This iron cannot be taken onto a Commercial
Air Liner.

Perfect
We've only had this iron for a few days but it works perfectly.
U can steam at any temperature !
It is heavy but that made us like it even more. All the best irons have some weight to them.
I'm not sure if U can get a better iron than this one.
B&D hit a home-run with this product !
