Great little clothes line
Bought this because I love the idea of it being retractable. So far, it works wonderful. I love that when we're not using it, it's not visible. We just pull out the line when needed and attach it to the hook.
I do find it can sag a bit in the middle. I couldn't put it too high up, as I'm fairly short. So when I hang heavier items (sweaters, towels etc) I try to put them on the outside of the line, with the lighter stuff hanging on the inside.
Overall, I can't complain for under $20!

Cheap
Won't last, cheap construction, will fail after a few weeks of light usage.

Should Sell This @ The Dollar Store
Pros: Inexpensive, takes up no space, very easy to retract and connect.
Cons: This will not hold much weight. Forget putting duvet's or large bed sheets on this as it will drag the line down to the point that the sheets touch the ground (even if you install the unit high). I find the rubber has already started to fray in certain spots when you link it at the retractable side and we've only had ours for two summers.
I'm not really sure what other options are out there without either spending a fortune or taking up valuable space on your properly, so I'm not giving this unit a failing grade, but I'm also not giving it a glowing review.

quck and easy drying solution
This was exactly what we were looking for! It retracts out of the way when not in use. The locking mechanism is simple to use, and will allow for tensioning should your clothes become too heavy and start to sag the line. You can put a lot of weight on a clothes line 50ft long.

not as sturdy as I was hoping
The line tends to stretch quite a bit when under a load, but the retraction mechanism does a very good job.

Helps me Go Green!
Since I've bought the retractable clothesline in May, I haven't used our automatic dryer all summer! Makes me feel like I'm actually contributing to a more greener earth.

Soccer season has begun........
Our laundry room is on the main floor of our house and is a very narrow area and it is also the hallway to the bathroom and garage. So space is an issue for hanging clothes to dry. We purchased one of these clotheslines and hung it above the washer and dryer and the line is a great space saver. I hang delicate items on it; bras, slips , sweaters and now that soccer season has begun my daughter and son's soccer shorts and shirts are hung weekly on the line. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to hang clothes up but is restricted due to space. This handy line can also be taken down easily and used in other room or to take to a summer cottage.

I was really excited to find this clothesline. It's so handy to use and isn't ugly like some can be. It's easy to install but it's one downfall is that it can sag with heavy clothes.

Very Useful product
This was a handy solution for what we wanted. My husband found it easy to install as well.
