Screen died after a year and a half
The product worked great until it just died on me this weekend. The screen just stopped working, can still hear the audio but video is gone. Just read other reviews around the web and discovered this is a common issue. I would not recommend as who knows how long it will last you.

Steer clear
We bought this under the counter TV/DVD player before Christmas. Had a question about placement under a microwave and got a snotty email reply from Venturer. We drilled and installed the unit. The screen cut out sometimes, the sound was okay on some channels, but on the most local and most watched channel I had to stand still right in front of the TV to hear anything (although commercials were extra loud). Returned the 1st one and installed a second one. It had same volume issues. Decided to try a Sylvania DVD player (which was only $99). Tried it before installing and no volume issues at all. Drilled more holes and installed it. Packed up the 2nd Venturer and returned for a refund. I would NOT recommend buying the Venturer!!! Difference between 8" (Venturer) and 7" screen (Sylvania) in negligible. LESSON: Just because it's selling price is higher doesn't mean it is better.

Nice - but dies after 1-2 years
Did a previous review on our original version of this TV (10" I think). That one died when the TV tuner slowly started losing channels and eventually couldn't display channels (blue screen with garbled characters randomly over screen). This one had a problem about a month ago where the volume went high even at 1. Venture support had me unplug for 5-10 minutes and that seemed to work. But today the screen just went dead - can hear the TV or DVD, but no picture. Oh well, you know how it goes - fool me twice, shame on me (ie: we won't get fooled again:-)
Especially now that this undercounter unit is still priced high and now I can get a 20 or 22 inch LCD for the same price.

Absolutely the best! Have Owened for 4 Years!
Our family has been using this for over 4 years now. It gets used more than any other tv in our home. I have had no isues with the tv or the dvd player (also well used) and also love the radio feature. Have recommended to everyone who comes over! Best EVER poduct I ever purchased! Also love that the remote is magnetic so I can clip it up on a cupboard handle or on the front of the stove or dishwasher to keep it handy. Great sound (not tinny what so ever). The radio also has an antennae for picking up fm.

Best purchase Venturer 8-in. Kitchen TV/DVD Player
I just love this unit. When I'm baking I'll throw in a dvd and listen to a movie or put in a cd and listen to some music ...it's great!!! Every morning the radio is on listening to the current news .... we just haven't hooked up the tv yet .. hopefully soon!!!

Favourite appliance!
This is the #1 fave appliance in my kitchen. I'd grab it in a fire! Would not be without it.

Excellent Product
Great product. Fit under the kitchen cabinits just perfect. Grat radio reception and very clearpicture. Nice that yo can turn the screen many different angles. deffinitely recommend this product.
