A household "must have."
Don't have to ask to borrow a meter from work anymore. This tester allowed me to check the the continuity of switches on my dryer and check for power at a recepticle. It's great to have one readily available. Large display and easy to read settings. Great unit. Glad it was on sale too!!!

Used it's predecessor for years - 1 big difference
ITSâ€S SIZE! This thing is huge compared to the previous Mastercraft BUT, the display is bigger, the display is backlit (love that!) and it has additional test features on it, it has a built-in rest stand which is always handy. Haven't had a chance to use this unit yet but all gradations are the same with excepting of additional (new) test units like transistors etc. Even if you never used one before, it'll pay for itself in saved batteries that are discarded before there're done. i.e. in remotes, often it is only 1 of 4 batteries that need replacing. For the sale price of $15...don't even think about it! At least wait for it to go on sale again. Oh yeah...my old one has worked flawlessly for years.

Did The Trick
I used this model in my electronics class at SAIT and it worked great for what I needed. Some of the fancy (and more expensive ones) have additional features this one does not have; but for the average person or someone using it for training it works great. Price is much better than competitor electronic shops.

good buy for home use
used my fathers before settling for the autoranging for the difference in price for myself, very nice meter though, again no cat3 so for at home use mostly

Top performer for the dollar!
If you compare this meter to others in the market, you get twice as many options for half or a third of the cost. This meter is fantastic, easy to read, accurate and full of features. Highly recomended!

Great tester
Has been very handy for numerous jobs in the house and car. It has all the functions I needed and it works great.
