still works after 3 years

"I had bought this 3 years ago and it worked really well the first winter. The second winter it started to make an awful sound, just gave it a little tap and it stopped. This winter, working like a charm again. I had also purchase a Mastercraft Utility heater and it died after only 3 months. So it's safe to say, for the price, this is the best bang for your buck!"

"I purchased this heater on sale for $14.99 for my bathroom. It is perfect and with the thermostate control my bathroom is always nice and warm. Plus it is quiet. Extremely pleased and would highly recommend this heater for a small room."

"it was on sale for $14.99, was a good buy and it is quieter than the heater it replaced. Heat is more than enough from it's size and I like the sway it looks, simple and functional!"

Do. Not. Buy

"Six weeks after purchasing, it died.

The instructions say not to have anything within three feet - I had three feet away from everything. Not to put it on the bed - I had it on the floor. Not to have anything behind it - nothing behind it. And so on. I was quite careful to follow all the instructions (though I've been less so with higher priced heaters and not had a problem) and yet...

And six weeks after purchase, whoosh - dead."

"Lots of heat comes from this small heater. I made a test with 2 models. A regular elements heater and this ceramic model. This model at 900 watts give more heats than the other model set at 1500 watts. Fan is average for this unit. The noise is acceptable and any fan units develops noise. If you want it quiet you have to buy a different system. We paid 19.99$ on sale. What doyou want more. The unit is very attractive also and very well made"

"The noise level reminds me of a hairdryer on low. It's not overwhelming, but its not subtle either. The heat that radiates from this mini machine is pretty impressive given its tiny size. Even on the low setting, if you get too close you'll be almost as warm as sitting in front of a nice fire. Its the perfect little compact size with a nice built in handle on the back. The fan feature doesn't blow or force through as much air as the heat feature does. Doesn't really substitute for the usual fan on warm days for sure. But perfect for taking the chill off a cold basement room. The filter feature is just perfect too! Simple but fantastic and a lot cheaper than most of the other options out there!! Highly recommend. Happy Shopping! :)"

powerful little guy

"I love this heater! My old heater broke and this one works even better. It is half the size, very small and lightweight, easy to move around. It has a nice carry handle on the back for easy movement. It generates a tremendous amount of heat for it's size. In fact the high setting is way too hot and I don't use it. I don't find the noise loud, but that's me. If you are sensitive then get an oil heater. It will heat any room but will take longer if the room is large."

They sure don't make them like they use to!

"Brrrr! My old heater that my parents gave me heated the room up quickly within 30 minutes I could shut it off because it would be getting too hot. But this one I had going for HOURS and it was freezing! Unless you want to stand directly infront of the heater, inches away... I would not recommend this heater to anyone!"

Economic and practical

"I've been using this style of space heater for years. I really like that there are adjustable settings. This is great for a bedroom or bathroom. I even use it in the basement and it's great. A bit on the noisy side, but for $20 I don't think that's worth complaining about.

If you're only home for a bit or only need a single room heated up, this is much more practical than turning on the furnace."

Answer:

I would say no. This is a small heater and it would take 1-2 hours to heat your room. Get a bigger heater.

Answer:

It will probably be a bit small for the entire room. It will do the area closest to the heater very well. If your room is larger than 200 sq. feet you might want to think of something larger.

Answer:

No, it is very compactly-sized and because of the small fan it doesn't move enough air to heat such a large space. It's good for keeping a cold room above freezing, or for spot-heating a bathroom but I can't see it being robust enough for that large a space.

This product is noisy, so it is not suitable for continuous heating in bedroom. However, it is small, light and powerful. It is ideal for temporary heating in Garage, bathroom, etc.

There are 2 settings. 900w and 1500w. These determine how hot it blows. There is an internal thermometer that shuts off the unit if it gets too hot.

Yes, it does have a thermostat, but it's set only on a numerical scale. The thermostat can't measure the room temperature, just the temperature of air going into the device.

Why does warranty card state 1 year while box states 2 years?

Answer:

Good question, it appears to me to be a one year in store warranty and the remaining term of 2 years would be a manufacturer's warranty. With that, you will have to pay shipping both ways and at it's resent cost, it does not look like it would be worth shipping back for a warranty repair if any.
