Garrison 5+2 Thermostat, Electric
I've been using this for a few weeks to turn on the basement baseboard at night and off during the day as I'm on time of use billing now. Everything works as advertised. I especially like the TRIAC system which feeds variable power to the heater, resulting in quiet operation. There is an indicator on the readout to tell you how much power; typically 10-30% so far. Got it on sale, it won't take long to pay for itself.

Basic but works fine
It works fine for me, no real complaints. I can't comment on the long-term reliability yet, but it replaced 2 previous Honeywell analog controls that have failed in that location over the last 10 years, so it can't be much worse. I have a couple of other programmable thermostats to compare it with. It's not quite as easy to program and use as my Honeywell 5+2 model, but a bit easier than my Noma 5+2 model. The display is clear enough (except for the teeny tiny weekday symbol). It shows the necessary information: time, temperature, set-point, heating status, program phase. You can set it for 12 or 24 hour time mode and C or F degrees. There are settings to control cycle rate and pre-heat prior to set time. There's a high-temperature-limit setting as a backup. There's even a usage readout that tells you total on-time per day and per week. A backlight would be nice, but I have it in a location with adequate light. The door sticks a bit, and you have to open it to access settings like Hold Temperature. The internal buttons are small and the labels below them are hard to read. There are no instructions on the inside of the door on mine (and I don't see how there could be, since the space is taken up by the hole for the LCD display and the external buttons below). The manual is adequate, but it shows the wrong diagram (from the 7-day model), and the print is unnecessarily small.

Easy install and works great
I bought this to replace an older Noma programmable thermostat. There was nothing wrong with that one, I just wanted a back-lit one.
This installed easily and works great. I love the back-lit feature as it makes it easy to read in the dark once you press a button.
Very simple to program and the basic instructions are also on the inside of the door that opens.
I've only had it for a couple weeks so I cannot comment on the durability however it seems even better built than the old one.
