Perfect
We have a wood burning fireplace in our city condo and these are a perfect replacement for kindling. I use half of a piece and it easily and quickly gets the fire going. Simple and very effective. Highly recommend.

Quality has Gone Downhill
I have used PineMountain Starter Loggs for the last 12 years. I notice that the quality of this product has seriously deteriorated over the years. My most recent purchase was misshapen, warped and distorted. Pine Mountain needs some quality control happening at their production facilities!

a excellent fire starter!
i like to cut each block into quarters or eighths and use these smaller peaces to start the fires in our fireplace inserts..
very good for starting camp fires.

Works great
We use it in both our woodstove and fireplace. It burns for quite awhile giving your fire adequate time to get going.
