A good fan
Its surprising how much a fan will help when there is no air conditioning and this one has many features - multi speed, oscillating, remote control and more

Great features but a few hiccups
Bought this for my baby's room because of the timer and remote control features, thinking it would be great for controlling the fan without having to sneak into her room to adjust it when she's asleep. While the fan is very quiet in its lowest setting, I did find the following issues:
1) The backlight illuminating the fan setting on the fan pole is a bright blue, bright enough to be a night light! Not ideal for night use.
2) The fan beeps EVERY TIME the power or settings are changed (directly or using the remote) and when it is plugged in. Again, not ideal when you're trying not to wake the baby!

Excellent Product
I can't believe how quiet this fan is at its lowest speed, you can definitely sleep with it on. It cools the room completely, very satisfied and impressed with this product so far!

Quiet
This fan is quiet and oscillates for great air circulation.

good buy
bought this fan on march 10,2013. so far so good. this unit is perfect for sleeping, since it has 5 fan speeds. lowest speed is quiet enough to sleep. bought this fan to replace a fan tower that was a bit noisy for sleep use. i'm sure when summer arrives i'll crank this fan faster. if you have been thinking about buying this unit, i'd recommend you buy it.
perfect fan for sleep use

The best Fan
This fan cools a room quite effectively. The remote is easy to use and makes using the fan much easier from across the room. Blades are shaped nicely to make the air flow.

Buy this one.
Very quiet AND provides a good air flow.
The remote control is a proving very useful; I don't want to get up to adjust the fan any more than I want to to get up to change TV channels. Five speeds instead of three is also good (if the oscillation could be turned off and on by the remote I would give a sixth star for features).
So far stability has not been a problem. Our cat regularly leaps off a bar stool and sends it flying backwards but has not had an issue with this fan - a heavier base would make it more cumbersome to move.

Very Quiet
If you are looking for a bedroom fan this is it. The two lowest settings are almost silent which is perfect for sleeping. Yet it still maintains a reasonable airflow. This is the quietest fan I found after testing a few.

seems solid
On sale this week for $10 off although the website doesn't show it. For $40 or even the regular $50, looks like much better quality than what they are selling for this price or higher at Zellers and Sears. We also bought the 14-inch Whirlpool high velocity at the same time at CT and it (Whirlpool) is probably somewhat sturdier than this one (and is promoted as moving 40% more air).

Stability Needed
I was very impressed with this fan when I got it. It is easy to assemble, no tools required. The remote is a great asset. But my main issue is with the base. It is not heavy enough to keep the fan steady. It tipped over from being lightly brushed. Oh and the blade keeps slipping out of its peg. So I'm not giving it the high marks I'd like to.
