Just bought this...
and it was super easy to set up, love the auto control, made us cool right away and the noise is no different than the a/c I used to have in the window...it's all good !

Keeps us cool!
We purchased this at the beginning of the summer and I am so happy that we got it. We live in an apartment with odd sized windows so traditional window ac units do not work. I love that this is portable and we can move it from room to room if we like, that the vent fits nicely in the window and does not damage anything at all. And best of all it cools off our two bedroom apt nicely and the electric bills are not skyhigh

Fantastic in my book.
I bought this hoping it would cool as good as my old window unit i have and i am 100% totally impressed with this unit. I really like the remote, it's nice to be able to adjust the temperature and fan speed without the need to get up to do it lol.
I like the fact that you can control the direction of the air flow up or down with the remote too. All in all i think this unit is a real good bang for your dollar. Has a good warranty too which is a good thing to have.

Very good product at a good price.
Bought this unit 3 weeks ago and just started using it in the last week. It is quieter than my older model portable, cools the area quickly and the vents direct the air flow throughout the area.
You can drain the water reservoir from one of two drainage access point which is a big improvement. The unit is removing moisture from the two rooms at about 3 litres per day. You can use the hose attached if you can take the unit on to patio or balcony (for drainage). I use the drainage access higher up the unit (no hose) and the water pours into a bucket. Easy.
Glad I bought it and have recommended it to friends for smaller apartments. It is cooling a small living room and smaller eating area.

Cools a single room well
Just purchased this unit to deal with the heat/humidity we had here over the weekend, and I have to say I'm pretty happy with this unit. It keeps the room its in pretty cool as long as the room is not too large, but it suffers a bit in that it is a single hose unit that has the effect of sucking in warm outside air elsewhere in the home.
A note to all those who are having trouble draining this unit, use the other plug, there is another plug midway up on the left side of the back of the unit that you can easily position a bucket under for draining. I believe the hose on the right side of the back of the unit is only for use with a floor drain.

almost perfect
Very satisfied with the performance and quality of this product. The only improvement would be the option of a water removal tray instead of just a drain hose which requires a floor drain. Not so practical. Fortunately, I use the unit on the second floor, so I must roll the air conditioning unit to the edge of the stairs and drain the water in a bucket.

Very limited options
I tried this AC unit for my in-laws apartment. The quality of the unit seemed decent enough although I didn't get a chance to use it for an extended time. The worst part of this AC is that it did not have a removable bucket to empty the accumulated water from the unit. So, when it came time to empty it, you would either have to wheel it over to the laundry drain or try to drain it into a shallow pan. If you didn't have a laundry drain, you would have to lift the unit onto the edge of your bathtub or shower stall to drain it. I didn't think that these were viable options. This unit might be okay if you have a drain close to where you will be using the AC. However, most applications are for the bedroom which don't typically have a drain nearby. I ended up returning this unit and getting the Noma AC which had both a drain hose and a removable bucket option.

CT should not sell this
It's big and bulky. The Window kit it comes with is not your standard size. There is no literature or info on it anywhere except what you see here, at CT.
Most apartments and homes can't use this kind of window's kit, so it's is useless. I have seen people who have a similar setups and they leave their windows wide open while the A/C is working. This is like driving with your windows open and having your A/C on in your car. What a waste of money, that;s literally throwing your money out the window because the room will never cool down.
