Great Purifier
This is a great purifier. I have an area just under 200 square feet and this unit works great. It is loud, but that's because the motor is so powerful. If you put the fan on low then the sound is not bad. On 'turbo' the fan is extremely loud, but also extremely effective in cleaning the air, and removing any odours.

Use less Product
I bought two of them,found use less and wastage of $$$$$ ,after one month I through both for recycling.

"POWERFUL"
If you're looking for an air cleaner that will get the job done quickly... this is the one. I am always amazed at how quickly it sucks in all the air-borne dust in a room. Sure it is loud in the high setting but it does not have to be left on high.
I have a method that I use for air dusting a room. I set the unit at one corner of the room, turn it on high and I use my vacuum cleaner as a blower (hose plugged into the exhaust end) to get all the dust in the room air-borne and within mins all that excess dust is sucked in. I will repeat this a few times if the room is really dusty.
Note: I have also used a hair dryer set on the hi cold setting as a blower!
Here is the good part, cleaning the pre-filter is simple. Just turn the unit upside down spin off the big center nut, pull off the cover and just take that big filter out and vacuum away at the dust.. I do this once a month, I never wait for the warning light to come on!

Fresh Air all year now
We have 2 cats and I noticed that in the winter months when we wouldn't have the windows open, I would be really stuffy (sinus) especially on the weekends when I'd stay in the house all morning. I tried a Nettie Pot which didn't work at all, then I researched air purifiers and found that Honeywell was the only affordable one on the top lists (others for $600+). I bought this unit a few months ago and the morning after I found that the issue (stuffiness) was immediately gone. The difference in the freshness in the air is amazing!
I'm going to get 2 of the little ones for each bed room now, and I'll leave this one in the living room where we leave it on 24/7 on the lowest setting.

This Purifyer Has Kept My Air Clean for Years
I have had this purifier for 4 years now and have to say that it has definitely been a great investment. I use it every day to deal with pet dander (for 2 cats), a fair amount smoke and other musty smells. My partner has allergies to dust and pet dander and rarely has an issue them as long as the filter is being used and is clean. It draws all the cat hair (it's amazing!) and it is true that you have to dust less frequently while using it. I agree that it is large in size, and yes moderately loud, but I would definitely say that it's worth it. I use it in my living room/kitchen space and I don't feel myself that it takes up too much space in the room. You should make sure to clean it (simple vacuum job) every 6-8 weeks, but it doesn't take long and once you do, the air is noticeably much cleaner and crisper. I think I read when I bought it in the product description that the filter re-circulates the air in the room 6x per hour and I do agree that it does feel like it and does a great job.

cleans the air but is quite large
I bought this unit for my living/dining area in my apartment after buying the smaller version for my bedroom. It cleans the air well but it takes up a lot of space and is hard to store due to it's size.
It cleans the air just as well as the smaller version and has about the same noise level. The quietest setting is still fairly loud and the highest setting is very loud. The noise doesn't bother me too much - I'd rather deal with noise than allergies.
Unless you have a large space, I would recommend getting a smaller model, or possibly getting two small models for a large space - storage and portability can be an issue with this model.

Smell the difference
We have used these in our home to help with pet dander, dust and smoke and you can smell the difference within a few minutes. You will also find you don't have to dust quite as often.

Helps with musty basements
I recenlty purchased this air purifier to put in my basement. Its an older basement, about a 24 x 16 room. There is absolutely no air flow down there and most often smells musty.
I purchased it in the hopes that it would get the air moving in there and hopefully remove some of the odours at the same time.
It did.
I have been very happy with the job it is doing and would recommend it. The only draw back is the volume. I know it has been mentioned before and I wasn't sure how I would feel about this hum going on, but on the low setting, and a position further away from the staircase, things are fine.

Great Poduct
Great Product! Does work well purifiying the air but very expensive to purschase filters which are to be changed and not vaccumed when the light comes on. The light comes on for us every 2-3 months which makes it costly. We have two dogs. Its a great unit if you can afford replacing the filters.
