Sask snowbuster
Bought this model in fall of 2010 not knowing what to expect for snow that winter. Turned out to be the worst winter for snow in over 30 years. The Toro worked better than I ever imagined it cleared snow 3 feet deep and had power to spare. No complaints about starting at all and you dummies that have problems try reading the manual. When its really cold use the electric starter cord and its fires up in an instant. The heated handles work great and the power steering is awesome. My neighbors thought it was great too as I looked for snow to blow and they welcomed me with open arms:-). My neighbor bought the same machine after I cleared his driveway that winter too as we had some huge dumps and I felt sorry for him. Great blower and I would recommend it to anyone. Toro' Toro!!!!

Very hard to start
Would not recommend this snow blower. Since day 1 it has been very hard to start when cold and yesterday, after the biggest snow fall of the year, it wouldn't start at all. Not good value considering the price. Save yourself the frustration and buy another make/model. Only had it for 2 winters, and we got very little snow last year. Once running it performs as it should. No performance issues other than starting.

Love My Troy Bilt
I bought this model 3 years ago and have not regretted it. It has been through every type of snow and has never let me down. My neighbours also have commented on how good my Troy Bilt performs. It starts with little effort and runs better than a deer. I Give it a 5 out of 5.

Really Impressed
With the mixed reviews that were here, I was a little hesitant to purchase. After researching a lot of other models, I wanted this one. Man, I have not been disappointed. I have used it twice this year and it works great. The joystick auger is the main feature that makes throwing snow flawless from side to side without a pesky crank. Also, there were complaints about the starting, started mine with electric start on a -22C day on the third try. Very impressed and excited for the next snowfall!

After 2 years....
Since the day I got it, the snowblower has surged when operating. Searching the web, it appears to be a common problem with this model. Have a buddy that bought the exact same model and he had the exact problem. He already had to get the carb cleaned at a small engine repair place. He called Troybilt about the issue and they blamed cheap gas and told him that only non-ethanol fuel should be put in it(premium fuel)....no product support from them.
I had one I bought at Home Depot that I barely touched for 8 years beside doing the basic oil changes yearly....looking back, I should have kept it.

Hard to start!!!
I bought this model in February of 2012. Used twice. Always a major chore to get it started. Only starts good after you get it started the first time and only while it is warm. As soon as it gets cold you better plan on packing a lunch or at least as snack while you try to start it.

Not what I expected...
I was expecting a nice little machine that moved snow and would move easily through moderate snow.
Instead, I got a MONSTER that no amount of snow even slows down, let alone stops.
4 foot snow drifts, ice, small cars, it handles them all.
Starts first pull EVERY time, doesn't slide or stick in any conditions,
The steering option on this makes clearing snow a joy and I look forward to snowstorms. I wait until the plow piles up chunks of ice in front of my 6 car long driveway just to go out and chew it to pieces.
This thing is GREAT and unstoppable.

Perfect except a little problem
I have to replace the spark plug and change oil (twice a year) every year or it will not start up.
Other than that, it is perfect
