Cool concept, but cannot be re-used.
Decided to give it a try this year. Hung two on our fence, but I wish the product has a different look because it is quite ugly. However, it worked quite well. Tomatos has no problems growing. The top cover acts like a funnel so even the morning dew waters it. However, you can only use it once. After a summer of direct sun and punishment to the wind, the green tarp showed signs of weakness and could rip at any moment. The sponge underneath had roots embedded and had to be thrown out at the end. Seems like a waste to have to re-purchase this every year.
Although it worked well for me, I'm going back to growing in pots next summer. Looks better, get the same result and the pots can be re-used.

i love this product
I love this product, I would have bought more, but they only had one left. This would be great for peppers and other light weight veggies. Not sure I would use for squash but even zucchini would be ok. Bring more in I want more. They are a perfect alternative to hanging baskets if you want a chagne.

ok if you need it, but not ideal
Interesting way to grow tomatoes. It works well enough, but a regular pot works better. If this is the only way you can fit in a pot of tomatoes, then it's better than nothing.
