A Good Buy @ $10
I bought this on sale for $10, and although my unit looks different (same CTC code), it is by LaCrosse and has the same functionality. My first comment is the same as several others previously. If you are having trouble getting it to read the remote sensor, read the directions again carefully. Of course, you should use fresh batteries, and as directed put batteries in the remote transmitter FIRST, then within 30 seconds put the batteries in the display unit. Secondly, the unit displays Celsius ONLY, and the indoor display resolution is 0.5C, while the outside resolution is 0.1C. I tested both units with about 20 different readings compared against a lab calibrated thermocouple, and my particular unit, on average, reads 0.23C high on indoor and 0.13C low on outdoor. The increased error on indoor can be attributed to the reduced resolution of the display and relatively few measurements. In summary, a very good unit, especially on sale!

Works great so far
Only 2 days old but works great . Have an old RadioShack unit and this one is is within 1 degree +/- on inside and outside readings . Easy to set up just make sure to read the directions first . For the $10 price it's a great buy . Hope I'm still this pleased a year from now . Will repost if any problems pop up .

A Maybe
We bought this for my mother and although it worked well for about a year she's had nothing but trouble with it since. Of course at this price you might consider it a disposable item and be okay with that.

Inexpensive Wireless Digital Thermometer
You can't go wrong with the great price for this wireless digital thermometer. It tells you the temperature for inside your house and outside in your yard and is quite accurate. Highly recommend.

do not buy
even when this is on sale, it's not worth the 10 bucks, worst weather station ever, L-ion batteries die after 2 weeks. My old station would last about a year. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!

hit and miss
seems some reviewers are satisfied and others feel ripped off. I've been both. Used to own a Lacrosse technology weather station previously for approx 4 years and was happy with it. Required batteries every year or so until recently when it started eatin batteries every 2 weeks. Tossed it and bought the 9245 model. Won't record the outside temp after 2 minutes. The wireless signal flashes but no temp. reading. The manual says be careful in trying to get the signal through double glazed glass,Don't know if this is the problem or not. Seems like lots of complaints here about this product.

not as picutred
Model WS-9245-UITCA is not the one that is pictured.
Model WS-9245-UITCA can only receive temperature transmission from ONE sensor only. Many similar models can receive data from up to four sensors. Additional sensors cannot be used with this model.

Great Purchase When Sale Priced
I've bought one of these units and installed it in January 2011. Sensor and display are about 80 feet apart with the sensor on the north side of the garage and the display on the kitchen counter. Reception is great. Last couple of months I noticed the display getting weak and finally decided to change batteries. I replaced both the sensor and display batteries, sensor first of course, and put them back. Sure, I had to reset readings to be seen as degrees C and correct the time. All this takes is about a minute and a half. After well over a year, this is not a problem. The problem lies with the use of AAA batteries in the display unit. If these were AA batteries, I am sure I would have gotten over 2 years service without battery change. I tested the removed AAA's and they came in at 1.14V while the AA's (outside in the sensor) came in at 1.46V. This is a significant comparison when one considers the AAA's are inside where it is warm and the AA's are outside in the cold; particularly winter months. All said, it's a good buy and I will purchase a couple more. I'd like to test one on my truck for both exterior and interior temperature.

One year and working fine!
I've been using this for one year now (since spring 2011). No problems at all.
Read the instructions and install it properly.
