Ok for very small, portable cooking.
Got this for $9.99, very small cooking area, not the best quality material but you get what you pay for.
Purchased as a portable grill that doesn't take up much space when packing, so if that's all you want it for then go for it. I've done steak no problem along with dogs but it's a very small grill and flimpsy...

satisfied buyer
We lost the grill of our charcoal barbecue and started looking for a replacement grill but found and bought this instead, happy to find something portable and easier to fit from our SUV to anywhere unlike our old one.

Bring back Hibachi!
These bbqs are all just plain horrible. There is a reason why they are so cheap (under $10) when on sale. They're very difficult to assemble, instructions are awful, performace is horrible.
These portable bbqs with thin aluminum material are mediocre in keeping or holding the heat. They do heat well and even with premium charcoal get cool quickly, unlike with the old iron hibachi bbqs that not only held the heat for a long time, but were so easy to assemble, that a child go do it.
Get this bbq and use it only in natural disasters where nothing else will do.

Greal Deal for Novice Griller
I had no problems with this grill. I lined the bottom with aluminum foil to protect it, and washed it out after I was done. The kit includes metal and paper washers. I wasn't sure where to use the different washers, but figured for $10 bucks, it didn't matter. I will coat it in olive/veggie oil as per another tip I read on here and store it in the box. If you just wanted to try grilling for the first time, or need a quick, light, cheap BBQ, this is a great deal.

Very poor quality product.
This product is a very poor barbeque. I'd suggest you avoid something that involves plastic being part of the essential assembly. I'd bought it & assembled it at home. I went to place it on the floor and decided to gently straighten out the support legs & both of the plastic handles that the legs mount into split & broke. Needless to say that 1 hour after having purchased it, I took it back for a refund. Please save your money and do not buy this BBQ.

Not Bad But Needs A Cheap Modification
The charcoal chunks up and falls through the charcoal grate and then the charcoal/ashes plug the bottom vent causing the fire to go out. Simple solution? Cut out a piece of that galvanized steel mesh you lay beneath a ceramic floor and put it over the charcoal grate! Now it's a pretty decent little grill that stays hot. Squirt of the garden hose when you're finished to clean it and back into the toolshed for storage 'til the next time! Four burgers, two steaks, and four corn on the cobs required, like, two large handfuls of charcoal! Try being that frugal on a bigger grill! Perfect for just a couple of people and no lugging this giant thing on wheels over bumpy grass! Vegetable oil the grill and charcoal grate or this thing will rust fast as they all do if you do not. On sale too - 10 bucks!

Extremely poor quality
This is an extremely poor quality grill. The side handles/leg supports shattered during assembly, rendering the grill useless.

Great Value
This charcoal bbq is great for camping, tailgating or just the backyard. Easy set up and use.

NEW ITEM NOT AS PICTURED/DESCRIBED
The item in the picture and the one described "Ash can with user controllable air vent" is not what you are gonna get at Canadian tire this year.
There is a different product with the code #85-1037-6. The new product has a kind of plate in between straight legs and is not worth buying, it allows very poor ventilation from the bottom so that when you put the lid on the BBQ it pretty much kills the fire.
The product on the picture is a great product but it is not available anymore, mine is all rusted out after years of use and I can't find another.

Very Handy
Since moving into an apt my family is not able to grill out like we are used to. We seen this handy little grill at Canadian Tire and it is compact enough that we can keep it in the trunk of our car. Now anytime we want to grill out we just heat to the park. Also, being a big CFL fan, it is handy being kept in the trunk for those spur of the moment CFL tailgating bbq's. It is compact for easy storage, it is easy to clean, and cooks just as good as the bigger charcoal grills.
