Garden Cleanup

How-to
- Remove annuals after they have finished blooming.
- Use gardening gloves to protect your hands and a kneeler or knee pads if you're going to be spending time on your knees.
- Use bypass pruners to cut back roses to approximately half their height.
- Weed and edge a final time to start clean in the spring.
- Move plants to other beds using a garden cart or wheelbarrow.
- Carefully dig up summer bulbs such as dahlias, cannas and gladioli after the first frost for storage over the winter, using a spade or pitchfork.
